UFC 300: Pereira vs. Hill live results and analysis

MMA

UFC 300 is here. The greatest card ever assembled.

Alex Pereira puts his light heavyweight title on the line against Jamahal Hill in the main event. This fight was the latest to be announced of a loaded card that includes 12 current and former UFC champions and promises to be an entertaining clash of strikers. Pereira is 9-1 with 7 KO wins in his past 10 fights, seven of those in the UFC. Hill is 8-1 with 1 no contest in his past 10 fights. Six of those eight victories came via KO.

In the co-main event, for the first time in UFC history, two fighters from China will meet for a world championship. Titleholder Zhang Weili takes on Yan Xiaonan, who earned the title fight with an impressive first-round stoppage of Jessica Andrade at UFC 288 last May.

Friends-turned-rivals Justin Gaethje and Max Holloway will fight for the BMF title, and while this is not a “real” championship bout, it could steal the show. Both Gaethje and Holloway have a fan-friendly style and are two of the most entertaining fighters to watch when they step into the Octagon.

Before that, former lightweight champion Charles Oliveira takes on Arman Tsarukyan, who’s 8-2 since joining the UFC almost five years to the date. Olivera is a veteran of 32 fights in the UFC. He won the title with a KO victory against Michael Chandler at UFC 262 and made two defenses, submission wins against Dustin Poirier at UFC 269 and Justin Gaethje at UFC 274. He lost the belt to Islam Makhachev at UFC 280.

To open the PPV card, unbeaten Bo Nickal takes on Cody Brundage. Nickal is a big favorite at -1700, per ESPN BET, and has never been in Round 2. All his previous UFC fights ended in the first round, three submissions and two KOs.

In the prelims, Kayla Harrison makes her UFC debut against former champion Holly Holm in a bantamweight fight. Harrison, a two-time gold medalist in Judo for the U.S. in 2012 and 2016, is a slight favorite, over Holm, a former boxing champion and amateur kickboxing champion. The winner could challenge Raquel Pennington for the 135-pound belt next.
