Virginia has canceled a home football game against No. 23 Coastal Carolina scheduled for Saturday in the wake of a shooting that left three players dead and another wounded.

The school also announced Wednesday that no decision had been made on the Cavaliers’ season finale against Virginia Tech on Nov. 26.

Junior wide receiver Lavel Davis Jr., junior wide receiver Devin Chandler and junior defensive end/linebacker D’Sean Perry were killed in the Sunday night shooting. Running back Mike Hollins was hospitalized after being shot in the back.

A former player, Christopher Darnell Jones Jr., 22, is accused of opening fire in a bus returning from a field trip. Jones was due in court Wednesday for his first hearing.
