The Arizona Cardinals have signed general manager Steve Keim and coach Kliff Kingsbury to contact extensions through the 2027 season, the team announced Wednesday.
The extensions come after the Cardinals reached the postseason, ending a five-year drought.
The Cardinals started last season 7-0 but stumbled down the stretch, finishing 11-6. Arizona then was blown out 34-11 by the Los Angeles Rams in the wild-card round.
“The leadership of both Steve and Kliff have been key factors in the team’s turnaround over the last three seasons,” owner Michael Bidwill said in a statement. “We are all looking forward to continuing that progress and recognize these two individuals will be a big part of achieving our long-term goals as an organization.”
Keim has been the Cardinals since 2013 and the franchise has made three playoff appearances during his term, advancing to the NFC Championship Game in 2015 when Bruce Arians was the team’s coach.
Kingsbury is 24-24-1 in three seasons.
