The Minnesota Timberwolves‘ Anthony Edwards sat out Tuesday night because of tendinitis in his left knee, and coach Chris Finch said “everything is on the table” in terms of an extended rest plan for the star small forward.
The Wolves’ 129-114 win over the Golden State Warriors was Edwards’ first game missed due to injury in his two-year career. He was out for six games earlier this season due to COVID-19.
Finch said the team will have to manage Edwards’ knee condition for the rest of the season.
Edwards went 3-for-28 (10.7%) from 3-point range and averaged only 10.4 points over his past five games. For the season, he is averaging 21.4 points, 4.7 rebounds and 3.7 assists while shooting 34.7% from 3 and starting every game prior to Tuesday’s.
