The Los Angeles Rams placed Jalen Ramsey and Tyler Higbee on the reserve/COVID-19 list, knocking the star cornerback and starting tight end out of Monday night’s key NFC West game against the Arizona Cardinals at State Farm Stadium.
They join starting right tackle Rob Havenstein, running back Darrell Henderson and cornerback Dont’e Deayon, who have been placed on the team’s COVID list over the past two days.
Both Ramsey and Higbee tested positive for COVID-19, ESPN’s Lisa Salters reports.
The Rams activated defensive backs Grant Haley and Kareem Orr, tight end Jared Pinkney, running back Javian Hawkins, guard Jeremiah Kolone and wide receiver Brandon Powell from their practice squad for Monday night’s game.
Coach Sean McVay has said this season that, to his knowledge, all players on the roster are vaccinated, with one exception, and that lone player who is unvaccinated has since gained antibodies.
Vaccinated players who test positive for COVID-19 must receive two negative tests in 24 hours to be eligible to return to action.
The Rams (8-4) trail the first-place Cardinals (10-2) by two games in the NFC West standings.
