MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. — Floyd Mayweather will be back in the ring to face YouTuber-turned-boxer Logan Paul in an eight-round exhibition Sunday night (Showtime PPV and Fanmio PPV, 8 p.m. ET) at Hard Rock Stadium.

Mayweather (50-0, 27 KOs) comes into this fight as a big favorite, but hasn’t fought since he stopped kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa in the first round of an exhibition on Dec. 31, 2018, in Japan.

“It’s going to be fun. It’s what I do,” Mayweather, 44, said on Thursday. “There’s a difference between being a YouTube fighter and an elite fighter. I’m a fighter and I don’t worry about anything. I’ve been a professional for 25 years and I’ve fought the best and seen every style and I always came out on top.”

The 26-year-old Paul (0-1) has fought professionally only once, losing a decision to fellow YouTuber KSI in November 2019. He also had a draw with KSI in an exhibition in 2018.

“I think I have to knock [Mayweather] out. Someone’s getting knocked out. Someone’s gonna quit,” Paul said.

Due to the stipulations of their contract, by the time they get in the ring on Sunday, Paul could have more than a 30-pound advantage over Mayweather. Paul can’t weight more than 190 pounds for the fight and Mayweather can’t weigh more than 160 pounds. Mayweather has never fought above 151½ pounds in his career. At 6-foot-2, Paul is also six inches taller than the 5-foot-8 Mayweather.

Also on the card, former NFL player Chad Johnson will face Brian Maxwell in a four-round cruiserweight exhibition and former light heavyweight champ Badou Jack (23-3-3, 13 KOs) will face late replacement Dervin Colina (15-0, 13 KOs) in a 10-round battle.
