Magic’s Fultz exits with knee injury, won’t return

NBA

Orlando Magic guard Markelle Fultz suffered a left knee injury in the first quarter of Wednesday night’s game against the Cleveland Cavaliers and will not return, the Magic announced.

The team said he will undergo further evaluation.

Fultz drove to the basket when his left knee appeared to give out in the paint with 7:35 left in the quarter. He went down and immediately clutched the knee, as a team trainer came out to check on him.

Fultz, in his fourth season, is averaging 14.3 points, 3.6 rebounds and 6.1 assists.
