Multan Sultans opt to bowl v Lahore Qalandars
Multan Sultans have won the toss and decided to set Lahore Qalandars in to bat. On a cooler evening and a different strip, Shan Masood’s side will look to bounce back from their agnonising Super Over defeat against Karachi Kings yesterday. This is last-chance territory for both sides, with the winner booking a place in the final against Karachi Kings. Multan’s foreign contingent is unchanged, which means Brendan Taylor continues to miss out. Their only change is the inclusion of Junaid Khan in place of Mohammad Irfan.
Lahore Qalandars may feel they have the momentum after yesterday’s impressive 5-wicket win un a somewhat steep chase, and go in unchanged. Both sides never having progressed this far into the competition, and a spot in the final would certainly be historic for either franchise. In the group stages, the two games between these sides were somewhat anti-climactic, with Multan and Lahore winning one each.
