The trilogy fight between WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder is being targeted for Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on Dec. 19, according to Top Rank’s Bob Arum.

“That’s what we’re moving ahead on, on all fronts, with the security, with the virus, and everything,” Arum said. “We’re talking with everybody here in town, with the Raiders. So we’re optimistic that we’ll be able to do the event in Nevada, in Las Vegas.”

Arum said he is hopeful there will be a crowd between 10,000 and 15,000 fans for this bout at the Las Vegas Raiders‘ new arena. The second fight between Wilder and Fury had an attendance of 17,698 on Feb. 22.

After fighting to a split draw in their first meeting in December 2018, Fury (30-0-1, 21 KOs) dominated Wilder (42-1-1, 41 KOs) in the rematch, knocking him down twice and scoring a seventh-round TKO victory.

Wilder exercised his contractual right to an immediate third fight after that loss. The trilogy fight had tentatively been scheduled for July 18, but the coronavirus pandemic delayed the bout and pushed it to the end of the year.
