No. 3 Duke junior forward Maliq Brown suffered a dislocated left shoulder in Monday’s 80-62 win at Virginia, coach Jon Scheyer said after the game.

Brown was scheduled to get imaging on his shoulder, according to Scheyer. Brown, who grew up in Virginia about an hour from John Paul Jones Arena in Charlottesville, was injured with 1:21 left in the first half and did not return.

He entered Monday’s game averaging 2.5 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.5 steals in just under 18 minutes per game this season. In his three seasons with the Blue Devils, Brown has appeared in 81 games and started 25 times.

Duke next plays Illinois in a nonconference matchup at Madison Square Garden in New York on Saturday night.
