Titans’ 362-pound DT T’Vondre Sweat stiff-arms on fumble return

NFL

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Tennessee Titans defensive tackle T’Vondre Sweat and linebacker Harold Landry III came through with a huge play Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Landry came off the edge and knocked the ball out of Joe Burrow‘s hands at the Titans’ 9-yard line. The 6-foot-4, 362-pound Sweat recovered the fumble and rumbled 30 yards, highlighted by a vicious stiff arm that knocked a Bengals offensive lineman to the ground.

The fumble recovery was the second turnover the Titans defense generated. Linebacker Luke Gifford picked off a Burrow pass in the first quarter.

Per ESPN Research, Burrow has a lost fumble and thrown an interception in the same half for the second time over the past three games (Week 13 vs. Pittsburgh). Prior to that stretch, he had not lost a fumble and thrown an interception in the same half (including playoffs) since Week 8 of 2022 at Cleveland.
