Jalen Hurts throws for a TD, runs for one to put Eagles ahead of Ravens

NFL

BALTIMORE — It took some time for the Philadelphia Eagles to get warmed up Sunday, per usual, but they got cooking on offense in the second quarter.

Trailing 9-0, quarterback Jalen Hurts got Philly on the board with a 17-yard touchdown pass to Dallas Goedert. A.J. Brown’s presence forced safety Kyle Hamilton to adjust his angle, and that was enough to give Goedert a path towards the end zone with 8:04 remaining in the opening half.

The Eagles marched 68 yards on nine plays the following series. Hurts capped the drive with a “tush push” sneak from the Ravens one-yard line to put his team on top.

The Eagles got off to yet another slow start. They have just 17 first quarter points this season, the fewest in the NFL.
