The Seattle Mariners reinstated second baseman Jorge Polanco from the injured list and sent fellow infielder Tyler Locklear back to Triple-A Tacoma on Monday.
Polanco, 30, landed on the 10-day IL on May 27 with a right hamstring strain. He is batting .195 with five home runs and 14 RBIs in 46 games in his first season with Seattle.
Polanco was an All-Star in 2019 and is a lifetime .265 hitter with 117 homers and 461 RBIs in 878 games with the Minnesota Twins (2014-23) and Mariners.
Locklear, 23, made his major league debut on June 9 and batted .200 (6-for-30) with two homers and three RBIs in 11 games.
