The Atlanta Braves activated Pierce Johnson from the injured list Saturday and sent fellow right-hander Jackson Stephens to Triple-A Gwinnett.
Johnson, 33, has been out with elbow inflammation. He last pitched in a game April 29 at Seattle and is 2-1 with a 3.00 ERA and one save in 13 relief appearances.
In seven seasons with five different clubs, Johnson is 14-16 with a 3.98 ERA and 14 saves in 220 appearances (two starts).
Stephens, who was recalled when Johnson was placed on the IL on May 4, had a 2.70 ERA in three outings. In five seasons for the Cincinnati Reds and Braves, Stephens is 7-7 with a 4.15 ERA and two saves in 83 appearances (five starts).
