The Arizona Diamondbacks activated outfielder Randal Grichuk from the 10-day injured list Friday.

The veteran, who signed with Arizona in February, missed the start of the season while recovering from surgery on his right ankle.

Grichuk, 32, split the 2023 season with the Colorado Rockies and Los Angeles Angels, batting .267 with 16 homers and 44 RBIs in 118 games.

The 2009 first-round pick (24th overall) has a .249 average with 191 home runs and 556 RBIs in 1,141 games with the St. Louis Cardinals (2014-17), Toronto Blue Jays (2018-21), Rockies (2022-23) and Angels.

He is 10 hits shy of 1,000 for his career.

The Diamondbacks optioned outfielder Jorge Barrosa to Triple-A Reno after Wednesday’s game to make room on the active roster.
