Wizards rookie Coulibaly (wrist) done for season

NBA

Washington Wizards rookie Bilal Coulibaly will miss the remainder of the regular season after being diagnosed with a right wrist fracture, the team announced on Monday.

Coulibaly suffered the injury after a fall in Saturday’s loss to the Chicago Bulls. Washington has 14 games left in its season and at 11-57 has already been eliminated from the Eastern Conference’s play-in race.

The team said its taking a cautious approach.

The No. 7 pick in the 2023 NBA draft, Coulibaly averaged 8.4 points and nearly one steal and block per game in 27.2 minutes this season.

Coulibaly was one of the youngest players in the draft; he turns 20 in July.
