Rhian Edmunds won keirin silver on the final day of the European Track Cycling Championships to help Great Britain finish third in the medal table.

Wales’ Edmunds was pipped to gold by nine-thousandths of a second by Dutchwoman Steffie van der Peet in Heusden-Zolder, Belgium.

It was a third silver of the event for 21-year-old Edmunds and took Britain’s overall medal tally to 11.

That includes golds for Anna Morris and Josh Charlton in the women’s and men’s individual pursuit respectively, along with five silvers and four bronzes.

Fellow Briton Lauren Bell finished sixth in the keirin, with Will Perrett and Matt Walls fifth in the men’s madison and Neah Evans and Maddie Leech sixth in the women’s on Sunday.
