CHICAGO — Philadelphia 76ers forward Paul George exited in the second quarter of Saturday’s game against the Chicago Bulls and did not return after injuring his left pinky finger.

George did not play the final five minutes of the first half and did not begin the third quarter on the court with the team before the Sixers announced the injury would prevent his return. He played 13 minutes and went 3 of 6 from the field with nine points.

Philadelphia arrived in Chicago on the second night of a back-to-back and after a 132-129 upset win over the Cavaliers at home on Friday, which snapped a seven-game Sixers losing streak.

George scored 30 points on Friday before appearing in a back-to-back for the first time in two weeks.

Philadelphia was already without star Joel Embiid, who has not played since Jan. 4 with a knee injury.

The Sixers entered Saturday’s game as the No.11 seed in the East, trailing the Bulls by 2.0 games for the No.10 seed and final spot in the Eastern Conference play-in tournament.
