Big plays, bigger personalities: Week 12’s most creative NFL celebrations

NFL

Week 12 of the NFL season brought plenty of action on the field — and just as much excitement in the end zones or between the numbers.

As players scored touchdowns, turnovers or other big plays, they unleashed their creativity with celebrations that ranged from choreographed moves to paying tribute to other star athletes. These moments showcase players’ personalities and bring fans closer to the action. From sideline props to team-wide routines, Week 12 didn’t disappoint in delivering some unforgettable theatrics. Let’s take a look at this week’s most creative celebrations.

After forcing and recovering a fumble by Minnesota Vikings running back Aaron Jones at Chicago’s 1-yard line on second-and-goal, Owens celebrated with a tribute to his wife — record-breaking Olympic gymnast Simone Biles — by performing her iconic signature salute.

Gibbs scored Detroit’s first touchdown with a 1-yard rush against the Indianapolis Colts — then paid homage to Philadelphia 76ers icon Allen Iverson.

Some say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, but Tommy DeVito might not agree. In his season debut as the New York Giants’ starting quarterback, DeVito watched Mayfield mimic his signature celebration after the Buccaneers extended their lead to 23-0 just before halftime.
