EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ – Saquon Barkley wasn’t going to be denied.
Playing in his first game back at MetLife Stadium since joining the rival Philadelphia Eagles, Barkley scored from 3 yards out midway through the second quarter to put his new team up 7-0 over the New York Giants.
Barkley’s momentum on the inside run was initially halted, but he kept his legs moving and teammates helped push him into the end zone for his fifth rushing TD of the season.
Barkley set the score up with a 55-yard run down the left side — his longest rush at MetLife since a 68-yard touchdown on Dec. 29, 2019, against the Eagles.
The crowd booed heavily when Barkley and the offense took the field for the first time and let Barkley hear it every time he touched the ball.
It didn’t stop Barkley from making the kind of impact Giants fans become accustomed to during his six years in New York.

The Jalen Hurts–A.J. Brown connection is heating up.
After the two sealed the win against the Cleveland Browns in Week 5 with a deep completion late, Hurts went back to the well on fourth down against the Giants, resulting in a 41-yard second-quarter touchdown that put the Eagles up 14-0.
Facing a fourth-and-3, Hurts stood in the pocket with pressure bearing down on him and fired a dart down the left sideline for Brown, who caught it in stride before racing into the end zone.
Brown has missed three games this season with a hamstring injury. In the two games he did play in entering Sunday, he went over 100 yards and scored a touchdown in each of them.
