New Orleans Saints wide receiver Rashid Shaheed will miss the rest of the season after undergoing surgery to repair a meniscus injury, a source told ESPN’s Adam Schefter on Thursday.
Shaheed faces a four- to-six-month recovery timeline, the source told Schefter.
The Saints placed Shaheed on injured reserve Thursday.
Shaheed leads the Saints this season with 349 receiving yards and three touchdown receptions and is third on the team with 20 receptions.
Shaheed had already been ruled out for Thursday night’s game against the Denver Broncos as was Chris Olave (concussion), leaving the Saints without their top two wide receivers for the game.
Olave is second on the team with 23 receptions and 280 receiving yards.
