Packers’ Jaire Alexander scores on INT of Titans’ Will Levis

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The Green Bay Packers had only seven interceptions all of last season, and only one was a pick-six.

Before the end of the first quarter of Sunday’s Week 3 game against the Tennessee Titans, Jaire Alexander gave the Packers their sixth interception of the season and their first pick-six. The Packers’ cornerback jumped an out-route intended for DeAndre Hopkins, picked off Will Levis and returned it 35 yards for a touchdown.

It gave the Packers a 17-7 lead with :51 left in the first quarter in their second straight game without quarterback Jordan Love, who is recovering from a sprained MCL in his left knee.

In Love’s place, Malik Willis made his second straight start and led a pair of scoring drives that gave the Packers a 10-7 lead. Alexander’s interception came on the first play of the Titans’ drive after the Packers kicked a field goal to break a 7-7 tie.

It was Alexander’s first career pick-six and his 12th career interception.

Levis is the first quarterback this season with multiple pick-sixes. He threw one in the season opener against the the Chicago Bears.
