United States women’s national team stalwart Alex Morgan has announced that she is to retire from soccer after this weekend in a video shared on social media.
Morgan, 35, made 223 appearances for the USWNT (ninth-most all-time), scoring 123 goals (fifth-most).
In her retirement video, Morgan also announced that she is pregnant with her second child.
The final game of Morgan’s career will come with the San Diego Wave on Sunday as they take on the North Carolina Courage.
