Source: M. Wagner gets two-year deal from Magic

NBA

Mo Wagner has decided to remain with the Orlando Magic, agreeing to a two-year, $22 million deal on Tuesday, a source told ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

Wagner, brother of Magic star Franz Wagner, averaged 10.9 points and 4.3 rebounds while shooting 60.1% from the field for Orlando last season.

Wagner, 27, was selected with the 25th pick in the 2018 NBA draft but after three different stops in his first three seasons, he was waived toward the end of the 2020-21 season. The Magic picked him up and he’s been a rotation staple ever since.

The Magic declined Wagner’s $8 million team option for this coming season, making him a free agent.
