Sources: Christie to stay with Lakers on $32M deal

Restricted free agent guard Max Christie intends to sign a four-year, $32 million deal to stay with the Los Angeles Lakers, sources told ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski on Sunday.

The deal includes a player option, sources said.

Christie was the 35th pick in the 2022 NBA draft and appeared in 67 games for L.A. last season while averaging 4.2 points and shooting 35.6% from 3. One of the youngest players in that draft class, Christie will enter his third year in the league at just 21 years old.

Christie, a 6-foot-6 guard, made the Big Ten All-Freshman team during his one season at Michigan State.
