Bears-Texans kicks off TV preseason slate Aug. 1

The NFL announced television networks and kickoff times for its 2024 slate of preseason games Friday.

Five preseason games will be televised nationally, beginning with Caleb Williams and the Chicago Bears playing host to the Houston Texans on Aug. 1 in the annual Hall of Fame Game in Canton, Ohio (8 p.m. ET, ESPN and ABC).

The second week of the preseason features the Saints and 49ers on Sunday, Aug. 18 (8 p.m. ET, Fox) followed by three national windows in Week 3: Colts-Bengals on Aug. 22 (8 p.m. ET, Prime Video) followed by two games on Aug. 25: Cardinals-Broncos (4:30 ET, CBS) and Patriots-Commanders (8 p.m. ET, NBC).

Preseason games run Aug. 1 through 25 before the regular season opens with a rematch of the AFC Championship Game between the Ravens and the Chiefs on Thursday, Sept. 5.
