M’s activate reliever Saucedo after knee injury

The Seattle Mariners reinstated left-hander Tayler Saucedo from the 15-day injured list Sunday.

Saucedo, 30, sustained a right knee injury while covering first base in the eighth inning of a game against the Minnesota Twins on May 7. He struck out one batter in one scoreless inning of relief in a rehab assignment with Triple-A Tacoma on Thursday.

Saucedo is 1-0 with one save and a 2.70 ERA in 14 relief appearances this season for Seattle.

The Mariners also optioned right-handed reliever Eduard Bazardo to Tacoma. He is 1-0 with a 5.87 ERA in five appearances this season with Seattle.
