White Sox put Jimenez, Wilson on injured list

The Chicago White Sox placed designated hitter Eloy Jimenez on the 10-day injured list and right-hander Steven Wilson on the 15-day IL on Wednesday.

Jimenez is dealing with a left hamstring strain. The move involving Wilson, dealing with a back strain, is retroactive to Monday.

Chicago recalled outfielder Zach DeLoach and right-hander Nick Nastrini from Triple-A Charlotte in corresponding moves.

Jimenez, 27, is batting .231 with five home runs and 12 RBI in 36 games this season.

Wilson, 29, is 1-2 with a 2.84 ERA in 21 appearances out of the bullpen this season.

DeLoach, 25, has no major league experience. He is hitting .263 with two homers and 18 RBI in 38 games this year at Charlotte.

Nastrini, 24, will start Wednesday night’s game against the host Toronto Blue Jays. He made his MLB debut on April 15 and is 0-2 with a 7.88 ERA in two starts for the White Sox.
