Syracuse makes CB Lewis latest portal addition

Notre Dame cornerback Clarence Lewis announced he is transferring to Syracuse in another portal addition for the Orange.

Lewis played in all 13 games (starting two) this past season for the Fighting Irish and had one interception and nine tackles. He played in 13 games (starting two) in his junior season in 2022 as well, and had 29 total tackles.

The 6-foot-3, 200-pound defensive back is joining Syracuse as a grad transfer with one year of eligibility remaining.

New Syracuse coach Fran Brown and his staff have made the transfer portal an emphasis this offseason, adding in Texas A&M defensive end Fadil Diggs, LSU defensive back Duce Chestnut, Alabama defensive lineman Isaiah Hastings, New Mexico State defensive lineman Tank Wilson and Ohio State quarterback Kyle McCord, among others.
