Florida and Todd Golden have agreed to a two-year contract extension, tying the men’s basketball coach to the school through the 2029-30 season, ESPN confirmed on Thursday after multiple reports of the new deal.

In his second year as coach, Golden has led the Gators to a 21-10 record and what will likely be their first NCAA tournament appearance since the 2020-21 season. Florida is a No. 7 seed in the latest projected bracket from ESPN’s Joe Lunardi.

Golden took over at Florida after the 2021-22 season following three seasons at San Francisco. He has made $3 million annually under his initial Florida contract.

Florida plays its first SEC tournament game Thursday when it faces Georgia in the second round (9:30 p.m. ET, SEC Network).
