Stolen bats of Delhi Capitals players found, says Warner

David Warner has confirmed that most of Delhi Capitals’ equipment, which was stolen in transit from Bengaluru to Delhi on April 15, has been retrieved.

Warner’s Instagram story that featured the recovered items also mentioned that the culprits have been found. However, he also said few items remained missing. In the photo posted by Warner, there were eleven bats present, including two featuring stickers of Warner’s sponsors.

After their game in Bengaluru, Capitals players found their kits missing some gear in Delhi, including 16 bats, shoes, thigh pads and pads. These equipment belonged to Warner, Mitchell Marsh, Phil Salt and Yash Dhull. It is understood the Capitals had hired a logistics company to execute the transportation of the kit and equipment across venues for the IPL’s duration.

This is the second positive news for the Capitals in two days. They had won their first IPL 2023 match against Kolkata Knight Riders on Thursday. Even though they stay last on the points table, they have some momentum going into their next fixture against Sunrisers Hyderabad on April 24.
