Memphis Grizzlies shooting guard Desmond Bane will be out at least another 3-4 weeks as he continues to deal with a right big toe injury.
The Grizzlies said Wednesday night that Bane is progressing in his rehab for a sprained big toe and that if it responds positively to a “reloading protocol,” he’ll be able to return to play by the end of the month or early January.
Bane suffered the injury during the Grizzlies’ Nov. 11 win against the Minnesota Timberwolves. At the time, the team had said he would miss at least 2-3 weeks.
Bane had blossomed into a co-star alongside Ja Morant in his third season, averaging career highs of 24.7 points, 4.9 rebounds and 4.8 assists per game before being sidelined.
