Wizards’ Beal out of protocols, available to play

NBA

Washington Wizards guard Bradley Beal, who has missed five games since entering health and safety protocols, will be available for Wednesday’s game against the Oklahoma City Thunder, the team announced Tuesday.

Beal is averaging 21.6 points through nine games so far this season for Washington.

The Wizards have won four games in a row during Beal’s absence.

Beal was previously placed in health and safety protocols during the preseason. He twice entered the protocol in less than three weeks last season. He also tested positive for COVID-19 ahead of the Tokyo Olympics and was unable to play for Team USA.
