We pick 10 major prospects to watch, including at least one from each team in the field, and break down each of their games.
2025 ESPN 25 ranking: 1 | Uncommitted
With a powerful and sturdy 6-foot-8, 215-pound frame, Boozer scores, rebounds and blocks shots. He has impressive footwork. The son of former Duke and NBA star Carlos Boozer, Cameron plays a mature game with physicality, skill and energy. He takes contact midair, then makes reliable finishes in traffic with either hand. Boozer dominates his age group and has opened the eyes of older prospects. He has established himself as one of the better prospects in the high school game.
2023 ESPN 100 ranking: 15 | Oregon commit
Cook’s versatility is most appealing, and his play and potential of being a high-level perimeter defender is evident. Offensively, he can take it off the glass and go, hit the corner 3 and play above the rim. He put some muscle on his 6-7, 210-pound frame to bulk up. One of the most talented players in the senior class, Cook has grown to be a more vocal leader.
2023 ESPN 100 ranking: four stars | Uncommitted
Mack is a gifted scorer — he led the Nike EYBL with 21.0 points per game — who comfortably knocks down 3s. He finds the open gaps, reads the defense and picks his spots. He can maneuver with the ball as a space creator and is balanced at the rim while adept at creating fouls. At 6-2, 170 pounds, he rebounds very well for a guard. Mack is the son of Sam Mack, who played seven seasons in the NBA with five teams. Sebastian is in the final stages of his recruitment, down to Oklahoma and Florida.
2023 ESPN 100 ranking: 7 | Duke commit
Stewart is among the leaders in his class when it comes to pure hustle and relentlessness. He defends and rebounds with strength, and he has impressive vertical bounce when scoring inside of 15 feet. While he is starting to sprinkle in his short face-up jumper and is working on developing a capable 3-point shot, the 6-8, 230-pound Stewart has demonstrated his abilities to make winning plays without needing to score. His skill set is reminiscent of 2022 first-round NBA draft pick Tari Eason.
2025 ESPN 25 ranking: 2 | Uncommitted
Flagg is an impact player with promising long-term upside. At just 15 years old, he opened eyes on an international level when he led USA Basketball to win the FIBA U17 World Cup gold medal in Spain, at times showing he can be the best hooper on the court while playing against older players. The 6-7, 200-pound Flagg has veteran-like instincts in crunch time with great floor awareness and hustle. “You would do a disservice to his game by pigeonholing him,” said Andy Bedard, coach of Maine United.
2023 ESPN 100 ranking: 8 | Kentucky commit
Dillingham will be one of the more dynamic and exciting players in the event. His game is about putting the ball in the basket with just about any type of shot that’s needed. Clever with his handle, quick with his speed and bounce, the 6-1, 170-pound Dillingham finds space and operates with scoring instincts. It’s easy to overlook his passing ability because of his strong playmaking skills, but his vision and willingness to find the open teammate is beginning to show.
2023 ESPN 100 ranking: 16 | Duke commit
At 6-3, 195 pounds, McCain is able to lock in and prioritize winning over his stat line. With the ball in his hands, he can make shots or slow down and read the floor at a high level. He manipulates and influences his opponents in ball screen actions, which puts pressure on the defense to scramble. If he isn’t scoring, he can rebound, defend and make any play to help his team. He has shown he can lead with selflessness.
2023 ESPN 100 ranking: 40 | UCLA commit
The 6-10, 205-pound Williams is one of the more skilled and running big men in the class with impressive, soft hands. He demonstrated his ability to be a vertical lob catcher, shot blocker and capable 3-point shooter this past summer. Entering his senior year, he needs to focus on his overall body strength, playing lower in his stance and committing to a simpler post-up game. Williams’ upside is appealing.
2024 ESPN 60 ranking: 51 | Uncommitted
Mobley is one of the best pure shooters in the high school game regardless of class. Not only does he possess behind-the-line NBA range, but his decision-making is impressive. He reads his defender, works to get open and shoots with confidence. He has also demonstrated he can score via floaters or on jump stops, as well as dishing an assist in the lane. With a game reminiscent of Atlanta Hawks star Trae Young, the 6-2, 156-pound Mobley is considering Arizona State, Creighton, LSU, Ohio State, USC and Xavier.
2023 ESPN 100 ranking: 34 | Uncommitted
James, the son of four-time NBA Finals MVP LeBron, has continued to create his own path and grow into his own game. Recently, he showed how his vertical bounce and faster speed are kicking in. He made two momentum-changing plays during the Axe European Tour in August: a thunderous coast-to-coast dunk in transition on the left side of the hoop with his right hand, and a chase-down block that he turned into a fast-break assist. James is a consistent shooter off the catch, a committed defender and an assist-maker who seeks out the right play with basketball acumen. Now that he’s a senior, he needs to use his voice more during games to further develop as a leader. His recruitment is starting to take shape with Ohio State, Oregon, Michigan and USC among the teams showing interest.
