Rohit to return as captain for limited-overs series against England

Rohit Sharma will return as captain for both the T20I and ODI series against England, while Virat Kohli will play the second and third T20I, followed by the three ODIs.

Rohit has been laid low after contracting Covid-19 and will not play the fifth Test against England, with Jasprit Bumrah named captain in his absence. Rohit played the tour game Leicestershire, scoring 25 in the first innings, but has since been in insolation. India have gone for a similar squad for the first T20I to the one that tuned out against Ireland before the senior players return for second match onwards.

India play three T20Is and three ODIs from July 7 to 17.
