The Dallas Cowboys have agreed to trade wide receiver Amari Cooper and a sixth-round pick to the Cleveland Browns for a 2022 fifth-round pick and a sixth-round pick, sources told ESPN’s Adam Schefter on Saturday.
Cooper, 27, is a proven wideout, something Cleveland desperately needs to add to its offense. The Browns didn’t have a single wideout top 600 receiving yards last season, and also lost star Odell Beckham Jr. to the Los Angeles Rams.
Cooper finished last season with 865 yards on 68 receptions with eight touchdowns in 15 games. He had two 100-yard games in the first seven weeks and none in his last eight games. He had three games with two receptions and one with three.
Cooper missed two games last season after testing positive for COVID-19.
