Toss Afghanistan chose to bat vs Bangladesh
Afghanistan captain Hashmatullah Shahidi decided to bat first after winning the toss against Bangladesh in the first ODI in Chattogram. His opposite number Tamim Iqbal said that they were expecting the pitch to play well throughout the day, so they were happy chasing.
For Bangladesh, Yasir Ali is making his debut as they make four changes to the side that played their last game in this format in July. Gone are Mohammad Mithun, Nurul Hasan, Mosaddek Hossain and Mohammad Saifuddin, while Shakib Al Hasan, Mushfiqur Rahim, Mehidy Hasan Miraz and Yasir come in.
From their last match against the Netherlands, Afghanistan made three changes. Ibrahim Zadran, Gulbadin Naib and Yamin Ahmadzai have been included in place of Riaz Hassan, Azmatullah Omarzai and Qais Ahmed.
The first game in this series is overall the ninth ODI between the two sides. The home side are leading 5-3, but this is supposed to be a tight contest.
