Suns’ Paul ejected after 2 techs, bumps into ref

NBA

Phoenix Suns star Chris Paul was ejected in his team’s 124-121 win over the Houston Rockets on Wednesday night.

Paul was tossed after two quick technicals in the third quarter. He was angry after getting his right hand jammed on a pass and argued for the first technical.

He then bumped into referee J.T. Orr a few seconds later, which earned the second technical. Paul left the court holding his right hand.

Coach Monty Williams didn’t have an injury update on Paul after the game, but teammate Devin Booker said Paul was “fine” during the postgame news conference and didn’t expect the injury to hold his backcourt teammate out of the All-Star Game in Cleveland on Sunday.

Paul, a 12-time All-Star, finished with 11 points and six assists in 19 minutes.
