Los Angeles Lakers coach Frank Vogel has cleared the NBA’s health and safety protocols and will coach the team against the visiting Portland Trail Blazers on Friday night.
Vogel entered the league’s COVID-19 protocols on Dec. 19. Assistant coach David Fizdale took over head-coaching duties during Vogel’s absence.
The Lakers begin a five-game homestand Friday night after having lost five of six games since Vogel entered the protocol.
