Clippers’ Morris enters protocols, out vs. Thunder

NBA

LA Clippers starting power forward Marcus Morris Sr. has entered the NBA’s health and safety protocols and is out against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Saturday.

The Clippers said Morris was the only player in health and safety protocols. Forward Nic Batum recently returned on Dec. 8 after a stint in health and safety protocols following a positive test for COVID-19. Batum has missed the past three games because of an ankle injury.

Paul George has missed four straight games with an elbow injury. George and Batum were listed as questionable to play at Oklahoma City.

Morris was playing his best basketball. He scored 20 or more points in five of his past seven games and is averaging 13.8 points and 4.8 rebounds. Morris missed 15 straight games earlier this season because of a knee injury.
