The Los Angeles Lakers agreed to a contract extension with head coach Frank Vogel, the team announced Friday.
Vogel was heading into the last year of a three-year deal he signed before the 2019-2020 season, which ended with the Lakers winning their 17th championship. Terms of the new deal were not released.
Vogel has a 94-49 regular season record in his two seasons with the Lakers and is 18-9 in the postseason.
The veteran coach began his career in the NBA as an assistant with the Boston Celtics in 2001. Vogel served as head coach of the Indiana Pacers from 2010 to 2016, then spent two years with Orlando before being hired by L.A.
