Agency: DT Allen, WFT agree to $72M extension

NFL

Defensive lineman Jonathan Allen and the Washington Football Team have agreed to a four-year, $72 million extension, his agency, Team IFA, announced.

The contract includes $30 million guaranteed.

Allen, drafted 17th overall by Washington in 2017, has 17 sacks in his first four seasons in the NFL.

The team had exercised the fifth-year option in his rookie contract last year, and he would have been an unrestricted free agent after this season had he not agreed to a new contract.
