Cleveland Cavaliers forward Kevin Love has begun individual basketball activities as he continues to recover from a right calf strain suffered at the start of the season, the team said Wednesday.
Love has not played since Dec. 27 after initially suffering the injury during the preseason and aggravating it against the Philadelphia 76ers.
The Cavaliers said in their release Wednesday that Love will be reassessed daily before he takes part in full team activities ahead of an eventual return to play.
Love, a five-time All-Star, is averaging 9.5 points, 6 rebounds and 2.5 assists in two games this season.
