Indiana Pacers forward T.J. Warren will undergo surgery to repair a stress fracture in his left foot and will be out indefinitely, sources told ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski on Thursday.
Warren has averaged 15.5 points and 3.5 rebounds points in four games this season after a breakout performance in the Orlando restart. He had a similar procedure on his right foot in Phoenix in 2016 before fully recovering.
Warren was the Pacers’ top scorer last season, averaging 19.8 points while shooting 53.6% from the field — both career highs. He also had a 53-point game against Philadelphia in the NBA’s bubble to tie the team’s single-game scoring record.
