Portland Trail Blazers forward Carmelo Anthony didn’t make the trip to Los Angeles for Monday’s game against the Lakers because of “health and safety” protocols, the team announced Sunday.

Anthony, 36, is averaging 10 points in 22.5 minutes per game as the Blazers are off to 1-1 start. He scored five points in the Blazers’ 128-126 overtime victory against Houston on Saturday night.
