Austin Dillon will not compete in Sunday’s Cup Series race on the Daytona International Speedway road course after testing positive for COVID-19, Richard Childress Racing announced Saturday.

“In accordance with NASCAR’s safety protocol, Dillon is self-quarantining away from RCR’s facilities and will not be competing in this weekend’s NASCAR Cup Series race at the Daytona International Speedway Road Course,” Richard Childress Racing said in a statement. “Austin’s wife Whitney and son Ace remain healthy and symptom-free.”

Kaz Grala will drive the No. 3 car for Sunday’s race. Grala, 21, will be making his Cup Series debut.

Dillon, 30, is ninth in the Cup Series standings after winning in Texas on July 19. He finished eighth in last Sunday’s race at Michigan.
