One of the UFC’s top middleweight prospects is looking at an extended time away from the Octagon.
Brendan Allen suffered three broken bones in his face in a bout with Kyle Daukaus at UFC Fight Night on Saturday night in Las Vegas, Allen’s manager Brian Butler tweeted Sunday.

Butler told ESPN that Allen broke two bones in his orbital floor and one in his nose. Allen ended up winning the bout by unanimous decision.
Butler tweeted that Allen is likely out for the remainder of the year due to the injuries, though he could consider a return one weight class up at light heavyweight.
Allen (15-3) has won seven straight fights, including his first three in the UFC. The Louisiana native, who trains at Roufusport in Milwaukee, had finished three straight fights coming into Saturday night. Allen, 24, is the former LFA middleweight champion and signed with the UFC in 2019.
